Cooking at a Wedding in the Rural Areas

Marriage was and continues to be one of the most significant institutions in African societies. Marriage is encouraged in African cultures and comparable cultures for two major reasons: the continuance of society and the development of social integrity. For example in Ndebele culture, various family members, including aunties, uncles, and grandparents, encourage and nurture the two parties’ connection . The family and community’s participation means that they function as a source of support in guaranteeing the couple’s marriage’s success.

In this documentary, we get to cook at Mr. and Mrs. Ndlovu’s wedding and learn about the intricacies that go into a cultural wedding. We also learn about the many family members’ roles in the union of these two people, as well as the cultural processes followed by both the Sibanda (Bride) and Ndlovu (Groom) families.

LOVE is a beautiful feeling!
