A Taste of Sotho Food in Zimbabwe

Join us on a journey to Ntepe, Gwanda, as we explore the diverse and delicious world of Sotho cuisine. From the hearty Leqebekoane (Steamed Bread) to the sweet Thophi (Melon & Sorghum Powder), we delve into the dishes that have sustained generations. We had the privilege of filming at the Zion Christian Church, a significant religious institution that embodies Sotho culture. The church recognizes the importance of indigenous foods in promoting health and well-being, aligning perfectly with our documentary’s mission. Our gracious host, Mima Moyo, is a passionate advocate for preserving Sotho culture. Her knowledge and enthusiasm brought our documentary to life, allowing us to capture the essence of this vibrant community.
