Chef Sindi: The Making of a Food Lovers Legacy!

Chef Sindi is a Chef and Culinary artist whose cuisine specialty span from African, Italian, Portuguese, British, and Canadian. Chef Sindi is the owner of Sage & Thyme Restaurant which was established in 1997 is all about a daughter, turned Chef, then mother. With roots deeply set in Zimbabwe, Africa – Chef Sindi strives to provide only what she would let her family eat. Chef Sindi’s experience ranges from working at the Elephant Hills Intercontinental Hotel in Victoria Falls and Hilton London in Ontario. In this documentary, we take a trip to the coal-mining town of Hwange to meet up with Chef Sindi’s parents and get a glimpse of her childhood. We also drive to Deka River to prepare a special fish meal whilst overlooking the incredible water. Back in Bulawayo, we get to see how Chef Sindi operates her business.
